Having aborted the paint job and getting all the mods done I thought we were ready. Not Quite.
I managed to figure out why one of the belts sounded like it was slipping. I wasn’t happy with the gas smell coming from the carburetor. I wanted some tow bar pins fabricated. There seemed to be a coolant leak, and a minivan inflicted crack in my minivan guard needed welding. Perfect excuse to visit the Land Cruiser specialty shop ACC Garage.
With older Land Cruisers being a bit rare it is a treat to stop by and see a variety of Land Cruiser vintages and conditions. Ours always looks a little sad compared to most of them.
The little white one way in the back is a 70’s FJ40 available for a mere $25K, no A/C, no power steering, no power brakes. I didn’t get pictures of all the interesting specimens but Pam is pretty interested in the V8 conversions they are doing that come with an automatic transmission, no choke, and better gas mileage, only $15K. Maybe later.
